Sheridan Hill writes memoirs, family history books and has written hundreds of articles and essays for Southern magazines and newspapers, including The Charlotte Observer.
In My Name As A Prayer, Hill chronicles the passages that arise for parent and child when a parent becomes ill.

I want to take each reader gently by the hand and draw them close to those intimate moments that arise as we outlive our parents and wonder how to help another person through the threshold."
